For users of the Korg Triton synthesizer/sampler keyboard,
Vancesoft presents a
librarian program. It allows you to assemble banks of Programs, Combis,
Drum Kits and Arps (arpeggios) from Korg PCG files, and to save them as
PCG files that can be loaded by the Triton. It also allows you to do
minimal editing, changing the name, category and tempo. The software
runs under Windows 95 and Windows 98. We have reports from users that it
works under NT 4 and Windows 2000. If anyone is running it under a
Windows emulator on a Mac, we would love to hear about your experiences.
The current version of the software is 1.02. As you would expect
this makes it newly-out-of-beta software. I RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT OVERWRITE ANY
OF YOUR PCG FILES. That said, I am using the program with my Triton and it
seems to work well.
Vancesoft Triton Librarian (or TritonLib for short) is being
distributed as shareware. A fee of $25 is suggested. I have not limited
the functionality or made it die after a certain amount of time, so please
support the software!
